Customer reviews
One of the best!
by .. J. Reyes (California)
I find this to be one of the best shaving creams available. The Avocado version is my favorite scent (no, you won't smell like a salad). It's best when used with a good brush (preferably made of badger hair). It provides excellent protection from your razor. I find that a tub of this stuff lasts approximately 4-6 months, depending on how often you shave and how large a dab you use; you'll be surprised how just a little dab develops into plenty of lather. Highly recommended.
Smells great, lathers even better
by .. S. J. VanderMolen (Florida, USA)
This was the first shaving cream other than the aerosol cans that I'd ever purchased and I don't see myself going back to the cans any time soon. It smells great, lathers great, feels amazing. It's not anything particularly fancy... it's just shaving cream after all, but I'm very happy with it.
Your face will love you.
by .. P. Knox (Atlanta)
One of the cold, hard facts of life is shaving. Do your face and neck a favor - buy a an old-school, double-edge razor, some sharp blades, a badger hair brush and some of this stuff. The avocado scent is very pleasant and soothing. My face feels better than it has in years. I am 56 years old and this is the best shaving cream I have used up to this point. I actually look forward to the morning ritual. I used to skip the daily shave on weekends, but not now. Avocado is the only variety I've tried, but I understand the violet is quite nice as well.
Baby smooth shave
by .. William Mcweeney (California City, CA)
This was first time trying a TOBS product and I was very impressed. Made my DE razor glide across my face with no irritation. I'm not sure what the "avocado" does. If you're worried about smelling like a vegetable, don't. It doesn't last long and even while shaving is very mild. Builds a nice thick foam when used with a quality badger hair brush and goes on smooth and thick. I've had it now for about 3 months and still have more than 1/2 the jar left. Would probably have lasted longer, but I was using too much when I first started using it.
Great for winter months or sensitve skin
by .. Paul Lamey (Alabama, USA)
I switched from Proraso to this and found that it lathered better (with brush and bowl) than most shave creams I've tried. It also added moisture since winter months tend to dry out my face. Another advantage is that a little goes a long way.
